# Custom subagents in Claude Code

## Before you start
- Needs: Claude Code and a bounded task for a specialist.

## Steps
1. Run `/agents`, create an agent, and choose project or personal scope.
2. Set its name, specific trigger description, instructions, model and required tools. Restrict a reviewer to read-only tools.
3. Inspect the generated `.claude/agents/<agent-name>.md` or `~/.claude/agents/<agent-name>.md`; fix malformed YAML.
4. Ask Claude to use the named agent on a sample task. Verify its output and tool access.

## Warnings
- Parallel agents consume additional usage.
