Who we are
Video to MD at videotomd.com is operated by Strike Logic, United States. Email hello@videotomd.com for privacy questions or requests.
Information we use
- Free signup: your email, optional social handle, selected free brief, signup date, and update-email preference. We store these as customer information and metadata in Stripe so we can remember your selection and email preference. Signup email addresses are not presently verified.
- Early-interest signup: your email, explicit update-email consent, signup date and campaign source. We use Stripe to store the signup and respect existing unsubscribe preferences. The welcome email links to the free samples; subsequent updates are optional and can be stopped through the unsubscribe link.
- Purchases: Stripe provides your customer and order references, email, payment status, amount, purchased product, subscription status, and billing information you give at checkout. Stripe collects payment-card details directly. We do not receive your full card number.
- Custom requests: the video URL, any public name and link you submit for the commission, the resulting brief, and order correspondence. A supplied public name/link can appear with a paid commission. Your purchase email and billing details are not made public.
- Access: a signed first-party cookie identifies the free brief and verified purchase account this browser may access. It does not contain your email or card number.
- Support and operations: messages you send us and routine hosting or service logs, which can include an IP address, requested path, time, and error information. We keep a running download count per brief to show which briefs are popular.
- First-party funnel measurement: a random browser-session identifier, visited page paths, campaign tags, referring website hostname, sample opens/copies/downloads, signup activity, and checkout clicks. We use these to understand which examples help readers and where the purchase flow loses interest. A checkout click is not a completed purchase. You can also choose to submit a reason for not buying or a requested topic; please do not include private information. Funnel events do not contain your email, payment details, full referring URL, or raw IP address. Short-lived hashed request identifiers can be used to limit abuse.
We use this information to deliver access and orders, resolve problems, process refunds, manage recurring billing, prevent abuse, and meet recordkeeping obligations. We send new-brief marketing updates only when you opt in. Choosing not to receive updates does not prevent a free brief or purchase.
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, order fulfillment and requested access rely on performance of a contract or steps you request before a contract; marketing relies on consent; necessary security and operational processing rely on our legitimate interests; legally required records rely on the relevant legal obligation.
Service providers
- Stripe: payments, subscription management, customer records, and access verification. Stripe also processes information for its own payment-security and legal purposes. See https://stripe.com/privacy.
- Vercel: website hosting and server functions. Vercel receives routine web-request information. See https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Resend: outgoing support, delivery, and update emails. It receives recipient addresses and message content. See https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Forward Email and AgentMail: mail addressed to hello@videotomd.com is forwarded to our support inbox. These services process message routing information, sender addresses, content, and attachments. See https://forwardemail.net/en/privacy and https://www.agentmail.to/legal/privacy.
- Supabase: stores per-brief download counts, pseudonymous funnel events, voluntary feedback and abuse-prevention records described above. For requested video deliveries it also stores your checkout customer identifier, reply email, submitted URL, task description, delivery status, reviewed files, download counts and your completion or help feedback. These delivery records are private to your verified account and our service team. Email signup records remain in Stripe. See https://supabase.com/privacy.
- Google's Gemini API: AI-assisted analysis of public source material. We send the source link and task instructions, not your payment-card information. Google may process the linked material and generated output. Data treatment depends on the API service and billing tier used; see https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms. Do not submit private or confidential source material.
We do not sell customer information or share it for third-party targeted advertising. We do not use personal information for automated eligibility or similarly significant decisions. External services linked in a brief apply their own policies when you visit them.
Cookies and email choices
Our __Host-vtmd cookie is Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax, with a maximum lifetime of one year. It is set after free signup or verified payment to remember access. A new successful signup or payment can renew it. Deleting the cookie removes that browser's saved access; contact support to restore a verified purchase.
The site does not include advertising pixels or Vercel Web Analytics and does not track you across other websites. First-party funnel measurement uses browser session storage rather than an advertising cookie. Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control disables passive browser-event collection; signup and feedback forms still save the information you explicitly submit. Stripe's hosted checkout may use its own cookies under Stripe's policy.
Update-email checkboxes are optional and initially unchecked. Unsubscribe through the link in any update email or contact hello@videotomd.com. Unsubscribing changes the stored marketing preference; it does not delete purchase records or stop necessary order and account messages.
Retention
We keep customer and access records while needed to provide the requested service. Unsubscribed addresses can remain as suppression records so they are not accidentally subscribed again. Purchase records may need to remain for tax, accounting, fraud, and dispute purposes. Source research and published briefs can remain as our editorial records; request removal of personal information through support.
We review deletion requests individually, remove information that is no longer needed, and explain any information retained for a legal or continuing service reason. Our providers maintain their own operational logs, backups, and legally required records. We do not promise a deletion period or automatic purge that has not been implemented.
Your choices and rights
Contact hello@videotomd.com to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or request restriction of processing where applicable. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time. We may ask for reasonable verification to avoid disclosing another person's information. We respond within the period required by applicable law.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, applicable law can also give you portability rights and the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Other locations may provide additional rights. We do not charge or deny service merely because you exercise applicable privacy rights.
Our business and service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, that safeguard must be in place before the relevant transfer.
Security, children, and changes
We use HTTPS, signed access cookies, server-side payment checks, and restricted access to service credentials. No system is perfectly secure. Do not email card numbers, API keys, passwords, or browser cookies.
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child supplied personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
We post policy revisions with a new date and provide notice of material changes when required. Contact hello@videotomd.com with questions.
